Health & Medical Services

The Northern Bruce Peninsula has a hospital located in Lion's Head. there are four beds for inpatient care. This hospital also has very high seasonal volume in its emergency department and is a health care lifeline for residents and visitors to the Bruce Peninsula. Lion's Head Hospital


The Lion's Head Clinic, adjacent to the hospital,  opened in 2001 so that the four family physicians who staff the hospital can see their patients for office visits and be readily available in the case of emergencies in the hospital. Twenty-five GBHS staff work at this hospital.


The Tobermory Clinic can see patients who are registered with local doctors, but does not receive emergency patients. This clinic also operates the Hyperbaric Chamber which is located on the Clinic property.


Spiritual Care


There is a variety of churches within the Northern Bruce Peninsula. Several denominations are represented including, United, Anglican, Roman Catholic & Pentecostal.
